Replication
Class: B.Sc. First Year
Subject: Major-1: Microbiology
Compiled by: Dr. Rinku Sharma
Replication is the process of creating an exact copy or duplicate of something, fundamental in biology for DNA copying before cell division and viral reproduction, but also crucial in computing for data backup/scaling and in science for testing results' reliability through repeating experiments. It ensures genetic continuity (DNA replication), system robustness (data replication), or validates scientific findings (experimental replication).
The Department of Bioscience aims to cultivate scientific temper, analytical thinking, and research-oriented learning among students. The department provides a strong foundation in biological sciences through a balanced approach of theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. With the guidance of experienced faculty, students are encouraged to explore concepts related to life sciences, environmental awareness, and modern biological applications. This Study Material Portal has been developed to support Bioscience students by offering easy access to syllabus-based notes, laboratory manuals, assignments, presentations, and reference materials, ensuring continuous and effective learning beyond the classroom.
